    The following information will support us in forming the appropriate caucuses/small groups for the ROA cohort. Please share all information that you are comfortable sharing.
  • Letter of Intent

    Please write us a short letter addressing the questions below to help us get to know you and demonstrate your readiness for this course. Alternative formats and modalities for your responses, i.e. a 3-5 minute video, a photo collage, etc., are also welcome.
    • Why do you feel called toward this offering?
    • What intersections and positions of privilege do you bring to this work?
    • What is your previous experience with social justice education? 
    • What is your experience with ancestral healing and/or recovery work?
    • Where/how do you resource and replenish yourself?
    • What do you do and where do you go when your belonging feels threatened?
    • How do you relate to power – your own, others, and collective?
    • How do you see Re-Calling Our Ancestors fitting into your life?
    • Anything more you would like to share?
  • Lastly, when crafting your letter, please keep in mind that we have three prerequisites to the program. You may choose to speak to these directly, if not covered in the above.

    Course Prerequisites:

    1. A basic understanding of intersectional oppression, systems of domination, and liberatory practices.
    2. A “demonstrated” commitment to Black-wellness, Indigenous sovereignty, and the flourishing of People of the Global Majority.
    3. An experience with engaging, conversing, and organizing other white folx.
