Next month, The Ojai Foundation along with Indigenous Celebration will host the Yawanawá tribe for a weekend event called "Journey to Mutum." Read on to learn more about the Yawanawá people and their unique journey.
"My name is Kenewma Luiza Yawanawá. I come from three generations of chiefs and shamans. I live in Mutum village of the Yawanawá tribe. Here is a beautiful place... We are deep in the Amazon forest living with much joy, but also sadness because our cultural and spiritual heritage is in jeopardy."
