Join us for a day of Samu (mindful service) with land steward, Cooper Babcock.
Samu refers to physical work that is done with mindfulness as a simple, practical and spiritual practice. It is a way to bring mindfulness into everyday life as well as being productive and getting work done.
Cooper will be guiding us in weaving wood in order to build natural structures with biomimicry principles. You will participate in creating a terraced wall using locally sourced wood.
This is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer and get your hands dirty in the company of family, friends and community. Our intentions are to collectively engage in mindful work, develop team building, and be in service and stewardship to this amazing place.
What to bring:
Rugged "work clothes" that you don't mind getting dirty
Sturdy closed-toed shoes
Snacks/lunch for afterwards (optional)
Please R.S.V.P. to our Volunteer Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 805-646-8343 ext. 136 for more information.
